When this post goes live I will be driving the length of the UK, on my way from my home in the Scottish Highlands to the south coast of England to train my equestrian clients down there, and to judge for a couple of days at the British Dressage Winter Championships.
By way of something completely different on this blog, I thought I would share with you a recent podcast I was featured in. It’s about equestrian topics, as opposed to writing, (so in my real name, as opposed to my pen name), but I know this interests a few of you, and I do start by sharing a funny anecdote about being an official at the London 2012 Olympic Games, which doesn’t need any equestrian knowledge to appreciate.
I hope you’ll enjoy it, even if you only listen to that opening story.
How awesome, Deborah. Congrats on the podcast feature and have fun judging at the Winter Championship. Safe travels.

Thank you, I’m on the way home now, thoroughly enjoyed myself. Having all those gorgeous horses coming down to my judge’s box is such a treat!

It was wonderful to listen to you and learn more about this part of your life. Fascinating. (and why oh why do the organizers not supply enough bathrooms at these events)

Thank you for listening, Darlene 😀
And yes, you would really think with all the people working on logistics at something as large as the Olympics, they might provide enough facilities!
