10 things #indie #authors are doing wrong (and 7 things they’re doing right)

For almost the first time since I started blogging, I missed Monday! This has to do with entering my third working week without a day off, plus a monster-sized migraine on Monday (think these things might be related, huh?), so this week I’m sharing a fabulous post from book designer Derek Murphy – you can read the whole thing (and I urge you to – it’s a great insight) at: CreativeINDIE.com

To whet your appetite, here is the infographic that Derek has created to go with the post…

Go on, hop on over to read the whole thing, and then if you fancy, share it as well.

  1. Aw, Debby, I’m so sorry you’ve had a migraine! Hope you are feeling better and better. It’s hard enough to have such a full schedule when you feel 100%. I’ll be thinking about you!

    1. Thanks Marcia, I’m used to dealing with these annoyances, it’s the loss of time that I find most painful!

    1. Thanks Deb, still being bothered by headaches as I’m up to my ears in stress and too much work with too little sleep. It’ll pass eventually, and then I can get my authorial life back on track – and visit my friend’s blogs!

      1. Oh, I can surely identify with that. After 2 very long months of my husband’s illness, and zero time for bookwriting in the process, things are beginning to look up. I hear you on the stress, so don’t forget to take little time outs to breathe and do something that makes you happy. It’s fuel to continue on. 🙂

      2. Oh I’m glad to hear things are improving. I know you’ve been through the mill recently – hope you took your own advice? I did just that today, took my young horse to a show and won both our classes, which makes me very happy 😀

      3. I’ve learned a lot these past few months Deb. Mostly about patience, and not pressuring myself with more than I can handle. And Congrats! on today. 🙂
