I recently posted the freshly revealed (gorgeous) cover for this book:
Well, now you can buy it here.
This is the final instalment of the HEART SEARCH trilogy, and to refresh your memories, here is the blurb:
One bite started it all . . .
Joshua, Remy, and the twins are settled in their new life. However, life doesn’t always run smoothly. An argument between Becky and her twin causes unforeseen circumstances, an admission by Samir almost costs him his life, and the traitor provides critical information to Liam. But who is it?
As Jakki’s visions begin to focus on the turncoat’s activities, a member of the coven disappears, and others find themselves endangered.
And when Liam’s coven attacks, who will endure?
Fate continues to toy with mortals and immortals alike, and as more hearts descend into darkness, can they overcome the dangers they face and survive?
Pavel and Samir had left the library and were ensconced in the office. They had finished making their calls and both were scowling.
“Did you get hold of everyone?” Pavel asked. Judging by Samir’s expression he had a fair idea what the answer would be.
“No. Farrell and Jasna are not answering. I left urgent messages for them to call me. Everyone else I spoke to agreed with the plan. How did you fare?”
“About the same as you. I managed to speak to everyone except Costa and Oleana.” There was a hint of a snarl as Pavel mentioned those last two names. Thankfully they were alone and could speak freely.
“Hmm. I don’t know what you think, but isn’t it rather strange that our four suspects are the only ones we haven’t been able to contact?”
“I was thinking much the same. I am beginning to wonder if there is some kind of conspiracy, that they are all working together,” Pavel mused.
Samir paused to deliberate. “You may be right. It’s certainly a possibility we should consider. None of them appear to leave the manor at the same time or head in the same direction, but how do we know they don’t have a pre-arranged meeting place?”
“Obviously we do not know. There must be a way we can find out, but how? Perhaps . . .” Pavel never got to finish his sentence. At that moment, the main door opened and several pairs of feet could be heard entering the house. Samir, being closest to the door, opened it and breathed a sigh of relief as everyone except the four suspects entered the foyer together. All had expectant looks on their faces, waiting for the explanations which were missing from the phone calls. He and Pavel left the office and went to join them.
They entered the library and Pavel briefed them on the evening’s events and Joshua’s sound advice. No one objected to the new regime – in fact they welcomed it. Hearing about Iskra’s near miss and her injuries was quite sobering. Together, they wholeheartedly agreed with Joshua’s assessment of the situation; it brought home to them just how vulnerable they all were.
